On August 11, 2018, the wonderful Agora Cultural Center in Wrocław hosted the Polish premiere of my book – travelogue titeled: “Ja.Japonia / 私と日本”, composed in Polish and Japanese with an insert containing an English translation. It is a combination of original text, graphics, and photographs, in a form designed by me and handmade binding. It is a subjective story about a trip to Japan, where I learned Japanese crafts and had an artistic residency at the foot of Mount Fuji, which I simply adore. The premiere was accompanied by an exhibition of my drawings and graphics, a private collection of Japanese postcards, as well as a display of ceramic brooches created in cooperation with Velvet Craft and T-shirts with Japanese Shodō calligraphy designed by me. To bring viewers closer to Japan, I placed quotes from the book in Polish and Japanese on the walls, floors, ceiling, and in nooks and crannies. The refreshments were prepared by the Japanese bistro Kame, and the toasts were brought with sake. This event was the culmination of 1.5 years of very hard work and brought me a lot of emotion ^_^
